To Whom it May Inspire-
This letter is to dispel any pre-conceived notions that Shaun Ruymen is another John Mayer, Jack Johnson, or Jason Mraz. This gentleman strumming the acoustic guitar reaches beyond the tattooed-badass singer/songwriters, the surf rockers chasing rainbows in flip flops and the quick-witted “chi-centered” fedora wearers. Shaun Ruymen set out on this musical journey to offer an authentic look into the life of an ordinary guy, with an ordinary life, surrounded by ordinary circumstances. However, Shaun possesses an extraordinary talent of illustrating how ordinary life has a not-so-ordinary impact on all of us.
For two years Shaun has honed his craft and developed his identity as a singer/songwriter. There are no bells and whistles, no smoke and mirrors; Shaun is an artist in its most genuine form. At any show you can expect to witness his infectious energy, poignant lyrics, and voice that slides beyond your ears to reach the depths of any mind and soul. Shaun has an uncanny ability of creating a familiar relationship with his listeners. His dedication to his live performance has found him opening for national acts such as Josh Gracin (formerly CMT Music/Average Joes Entertainment) at Jenkinson’s Pavillion (Pt. Pleasant, NJ) and Mishka (J.K. Livin Records) at the Wonder Bar (Asbury Park, NJ). His open invitation to relate to his music captivates audiences and creates a safety net allowing all to take a moment to drop their guard and look at life as their very own novel.
In 2009, Shaun decided it was time to capture that energy. Working with producer, Pat Noon at EightSixteen Studios he released his first EP. In his debut solo album, "Luckiest Man Alive", Shaun reminds listeners to dream is to believe as he engages his audience through his melodic musical talents. This album is an ally to the daily smiles and frowns of life riding right along side each listener. His writing is refreshing and reminds audiences they are not alone in the ups and downs of ordinary life.
With the support of family, friends, and fans along the way, Shaun will embark on his first tour in the summer of 2010. Armed with a powerful voice, intense energy, and genuine heart, Shaun Ruymen is the not-so-ordinary artist you don't want to miss!
Sincerely,

Alan Wright
